He is very good at letting you know what he does NOT like. He's begun throwing his head back and screaming. Lovely. We are assured this is just a "phase".

He has decided he'd rather point to objects rather then use words.

All we have to say is, "It's time for bed. Let's go nigh-night." and he stops what he's doing and walks to his crib side. (Sometimes with a little whimper to go with it.)

He's a smart boy with a stubborn, strong, and determined personality.

He brings us our greatest joy!

Toilet

Gavinn has used the toilet at least 5 times.

(It's usually because he's in the bath and we pick-up on the signs!)

He knows exactly what to do.

He will sit there, do his business, and then want to flush.

We actually missed his cues a few days ago and he pooped in the tub. You should have SEEN the look of terror on his face! He was screaming and when he saw it floating in the tub WITH him- he couldn't get out of there fast enough. He kept looking at us and back to the turd. Petrified I tell you. We couldn't stop laughing. It was the funniest thing we've ever witnessed.

We are hoping this means potty training will be a breeze.

Also, for documentation purposes: We've had our first toy-in-toilet.

It could not be saved.

Gavinn was very sad to see it go in the garbage can.

*Tomatos! All things tomato! Plain tomatos, spaghetti, pizza sauce, and although we've never tried tomato juice- I bet he'd like that as well!

*Oranges! He LOVES them!

*Playgrounds. Especially the slides and the swings.

*He loves Oreos!

*He enjoys whole milk.

*Loves to walk... while holding onto something. He has only taken a few steps alone. He can do it alone, but is working on his confidence.

Dislikes:

* Getting fat lips: I was Visiting Teaching and while he was playing on the floor with a bottle, he slipped and clonked his face. He was pretty upset.

*Child locks.

*Being told "No."

*Sitting through church.

11 Month

Likes:

* He could and does spend hours, HOURS climbing up and down our steps up front. He also enjoys picking the pedels off his mother's flowers.

*He also enjoys looking out the windows. Out the front window he likes watching cars. Out the bedroom windows he likes looking for Tank.
*He is becoming quite silly.

* He likes opening kitchen cupboards (higher up).

*He likes walking when holding someone's hands.

*He likes eating.

*He also loves taking care of his teeth!

Dislikes:

*He is beginning to be too "grown-up" for baby food.

*He often wants to feed himself.

*He hated having RSV! (Thankfully he didn't need to be admitted to the hospital.)

Is it possible for time to go so quickly?

It must because Little G is already 10 months old!

That's only 2 months shy of a year.

(I'm not ready to handle this thought.)

Sleeps from about 8:30pm- 9:30am

Eats: All the time and everything he can get his hands on.

Likes:

Opening drawers and pulling things out

Helping mom clean

LOVES his ball!

Chilling on the floor

Shoe laces

He has also started wanting to stand instead of sit. He's getting more stable, but not a pro yet by any means.

He also got his first haircut.

He still likes getting in trouble with Tank and has recently gotten a fish named, Radar.

He loves to watch him swim around.

He also is starting to understand the word, "No" however, he thinks it's funny and will laugh when we say it, then turn back around and do whatever it was he was doing.

He does not like:

Holding still to get his diaper changed

Getting in his car seat

Slaming his fingers in the drawers.

He has officially developed his own mind... he knows what he wants and what he doesn't want. He knows what food he'd like, where he'd like to go, and who he'd like to be with!

He has figured out you can find those fallen cheerios from off the tray.

He is starting to pull himself up on things and wants to stand more often.

We can hold his hands and he will walk.

He is more interested in his toys and LOVES to watch other kids run around.

He did a "stink bug" move yesterday where he was crawling, then stood on his feet with his butt in the air. (Like a bear crawl.) It was hilarious!

He is getting better with people and doesn't need to see mom or dad all the time.

He also got this little walking Gorilla and he LOVES it!

Does not like:

Getting ready for church

Using a sippy cup (although this is seeing some improvements).

When we retrieve un-eatable things from his mouth.

Getting his diaper changed. (Well, putting his pants back on that is.)

Being too hot.

At his appointment they found a slight infection in his ear so he'll start taking antibiotics for that. Other then that, he's healthy as a horse and we love him more and more with each little new thing he does!

8 Months

Well, well! Guess who got his first tooth! (Or, toofer as we like to call it.)

Baby G finally popped one through! Chadd said he started getting fussy so he put his finger in his mouth and felt it under the skin. Then about 15 minutes later he felt in his mouth again and SURPRISE! it was through! Gavinn handled it like a champ.

No? Ya, me neither... how about here?

Again... me neither! Oh well! One day he'll move that tongue so we can get a picture of it!

6 Months

Little Man is 6 months old now! We have a hard time believing that since he was JUST born.

He loves eating: applesauce, banannas, oatmeal, green beans, prunes, and rice cereal.

He has about 4 6oz bottles a day.

He sleeps: from about 8:30 pm- 10:00 am (which has turned more into 11 since he's been sick.) He takes 2 15 min naps and a 3 hr. nap in the afternoon.

He loves to play in his walker, sit on the floor, and watch Baby Einsteins (don't judge, it's like 3X a week.)

He loves the sound of his voice, sucking his feet, taking baths, running at night with mom, and laughing with dad.

He DOES NOT like being rocked to sleep (he likes to do it himself), loud things in general (fair, football games), and presidency meetings with his mom.

He had his first "sickness". H1N1 and he would like to add Tamiflu to the list of hates!

He's one cute guy and we wouldn't trade him for the world!

Here are some pictures of Little G at 5 months!

Little G and Tank have a love-love relationship, it's pretty hilarious!

He's NOT a fan of sitting in the grass, he prefers blankets.

He loves the trees!
But most importantly, he loves his momma!

Although he still hates tummy-time, it's getting better as now he's able to roll over.He LOVES the fact he can sit up by himself!

(However, I'm only comfortable with him sitting on a bed or a soft billowy selection of blankets)

His face cracks me up in this picture.

Biker Dude

There's been so much going on the last few weeks for Little G.

Here's a sampling:

Thanks to the Hansen family for cleaning out their garage, Little G is now the proud owner of a bike trailer!

He loved the wind in his face, sights, and before you knew it... his nap.

Tank doesn't understand he's too big.

Little G got his first taste of an orange.
Not too shabby

Little G made a new friend.

He was starting to get too big for the sink bath, so he's now in the big boy tub! Camera Shy? Hardly!

Little G has been introduced to:

Rice cereal, applesause, and peaches. Yummo!

Well, I just want to report that we just recieved our third FREE book from them! (We get one every month.)

Solids

Well look whose high chair came in...It hooks onto the table.
With our wee-little-house, space wise it just made sense.
We love that it rotates 360 degrees and "locks" into 6 different positions.

We love Chicco!

He's more excited about being "a part" of everything and so close to the action!

Little G has been introduced to rice cereal.

Which I guess kind of makes him BIG G!

I can't say it's the most exciting thing for him.

He gets better every feeding.

He enjoys trying to eat his hands or side of the chair
OR

grab the spoon out of my hand.

(Sigh)

I'm just not sure what to do with the boy! :)
